Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: No experience

Own Tools/Equipment: Hard hat, Steel-toed safety boots, Cellular phone

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Own transportation, Drive manual transmission vehicle

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Large workload, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Sitting

Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Judgement, Team player, Excellent oral communication

Communication Systems Experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Accident or incident reports, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports

Specific Skills: Load and unload goods, Perform preventive maintenance, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
