About us:
As BC’s top glasswork company, we work closely with our clients to design and create one of a kind pieces for your home or commercial property. We provide pieces for the interior and exterior of your property and most of our designs are pure glass and virtually frameless. We can also customize your pieces with details such as LED lights, backsplashes, and any color/design you would.

Job Requirements:

Salary: $26.50/hour
Vacancies: 1 vacancy
Terms of employment Permanent, Full time 40 hours/week
Start date: As soon as possible
Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: At heights, Outdoors, Dangerous

Additional Skills:
– Prepare tenders and quotations,
– Prepare shop drawings,
– Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications,
– Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages,
– Estimate costs and materials,
– Operate CADD and other computer software systems,
– Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment

Installation Specialization:
O Skylights and sloped glazed installations,
O Stained glass installations,
O Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems,
O Electrically altered glass,
O Overhead automatic doors,
O Shower doors and tub enclosures,
O Walls and other interior areas (i.e. partitions)

Frame Fabrication and Installation:
* Curtain wall (stock length material),
* Curtain wall (prefabricated material),
* Spandrel panel installations,
* Aluminum framing members,
* Entranceways

Major Work Area: Repair, Installation

Specific Skills
– Determine type of glass, frames and material required,
– Measure, mark and cut glass,
– Position and secure panes in frame,
– Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products,
– Install door, window and other hardware,
– Repair glass doors and other glass structures,
– Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment,
– Transport cases of glass
