Salary: $24.10 / hour

Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Documentation Knowledge
Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Accident or incident reports, Maintenance and repair reports

Specific Skills
Load and unload goods,
Perform preventive maintenance,
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials,
Perform brake adjustments,
Perform emergency roadside repairs,
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption,
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle,
Oversee condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment,
Receive and relay information to central dispatch,
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy,
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Weight Handling
Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
